Five restaurants to explore variety of cuisine in Port Vila town

If it’s an island holiday that you’re looking for, then you don’t have to think to consider Port Vila as one of your ideal destinations to visit. As a pacific paradise located close to Australian shores, Port Vila is considered one of the more ‘chilled out’ capital destinations of the world.

It’s surrounded by beautiful bright water and coastal views that run large distances. One aspect of Port Vila that may be on your mind is what the cuisine is like. Not to worry though, as we have plenty of choices for you to choose from.

When you are on a holiday in Port Vila, there could be many things on your mind to try
and experience, one of those being to sample many different cuisines this place offers.

French food in Vanuatu is considered of high regard and it’s no wonder L’Houstalet is still standing strong after more than 40 years in the business. Its French fusions are creations that cause talk of the town where you can find meals such as garlic snails and wild pigeon. To ensure they cater to all they also have much simpler food choices including pizza and pasta but it’s definitely worth popping your head in for a try at one of Port Vila’s top choice restaurants.

Perhaps you’re looking out for a bit South Asian cuisine to settle your stomach. If it’s spice that you’re looking for, there’s only one place to head to. Spice offers traditional and authentic Indian food all at reasonable prices. Your favourite Indian dishes such as chicken tikka masala and rogan josh can all be found here. The menu also caters to kids with a little less spice and you can also enjoy an on-site bar with a range of cocktails to choose from.

Beach Bar

Beach Bar isn’t like your normal pizza place. As well as tucking into some great Italian pizza, you can also find Beach Bar holding several enjoyable events across the week, so there’s entertainment to go along with your scrumptious food. It faces the Hideaway Island near the beach, which makes the movie nights they host every Tuesday that extra bit exciting, with the screen set up directly on the beach. There’s also a Sunday circus available for the whole family to enjoy.

any day

Seaview Takeaway

Perhaps some basic style cuisine is more up your street. If so, you can always consider ordering a takeaway from Seaview Takeaway. The restaurant itself has a canteen style set up, catered for those who are looking for a quick and simple meal to satisfy their taste buds. Food on the menu includes chicken and chips, burgers and even milkshakes to really fill your stomach. The tables and chairs are set up right next to the sea wall so you can enjoy a view whilst you get stuck in.

Kesorn’s Exotic Thai Kitchen

For a greater taste of the far east, you can find Kesorn’s Thai food from a smell away. Its strong aromas can drift into the distance directly from the kitchen that’s situated on an elevated deck. The restaurant uses local ingredients to use in their dishes alongside the authentic Thai curries they create. Be warned, however, as the Thursday night buffet is extremely popular so it’s worth booking in advance.

If you had any worry about whether the cuisine in Port Vila would be right for you, the selection above shows that there’s a choice for everyone. You’ll be sure to never go hungry at any point and once you discover it’s likely you wouldn’t want to leave. It may even get to the point where you consider talking to immigration lawyers to sort you out a visa to stay long term! And that’s just for the food!
